Less than 2 weeks to go! The countdown is on to. Black Friday is about to go down like  wildfire. Large scale shopping and big time discounts, Black Friday deals are more like winning a jackpot.

WHAT IS BLACK FRIDAY ANYWAY?

Black Friday originated in the Philadelphia, United States as far back as 1932.

Ever since, Black Friday has been adopted worldwide. Year in - year out,Black Friday has grown to become the most anticipated week of the year in shopping circles.

Black Friday comes a day after the fourth Thursday in November which is Thanksgiving day.  To be clear, the day has nothing to do with a misfortune or a something unpleasant. Just shopping, deals and more shopping and more deals.

Some say outings during Thanksgiving left a lot of black marks from the numerous vehicles that used the road. Others say that the term Black Friday is as a result of the pen colour used by many establishments to record their profits as compared to using the red pen to record losses.

Whatever the reason is, Black Friday leaves impressions on the pockets rather than anywhere else.

It has to be the price cuts; big time price cuts that are so unbelievable. It is a rush during Black Friday season to get a house.

The shops are opened all day long to catch but diurnals and nocturnals at their times.

Online shops are the biggest getters. Traffic to these sites is non-stop. There are so many after-hours transactions during Black Friday that, that the credit card and online and mobile payment portals also cash in too.

Car deals are fascinating this season. A dream car can go for so little , you can get two for the price of one.

For many holiday freaks, vacation comes in early with sumptuous and mouth- watering deals from the likes of Jumia Travel in what is referred to as the ultimate hotel deals week. Even hotel reservations for the Christmas and New Year festivities are made during the Black Friday season.

At the end of the day, manufacturers are happy, shop owners are happy, retailers are happy, the government is happy, e-commerce sites are happy and most importantly customers are happy.

Don’t say you weren’t informed after all the stats show that there was no way your shop should not have raked in the biggest profit of the year during Black Friday .

Don’t say you aren’t loved when all your friends unleash their new releases all of a sudden. And don’t cry foul when everyone in the office is sparklingly gorgeous in one outfit or the other,except, of course, you!
